The project presented on this page is located in a New York City appartment. Above an old bank of Renaissance Palazzo style,

the building is now designated historic landmark..

Commissioned by the Mendelson Group, the idea was to create a painted "trompe l'oeil" ( fool the eye ) for the appartment side of the front door.

The inspiration had to be drawn from metal doors, some leading to the vault of the venerable institution located some floors below.

The design had to flow and mesh with the 3 almost square paneled oversized wooden doors flanking the front door.
